Garstang and District Children's Festival

I am delighted to welcome you to this year’s Garstang and District Children’s festival which will take place on Spring Bank Holiday Monday. It really is an amazing day and it is enjoyed by everyone regardless of age. The booklet outlines the programme for the day so that you can make sure you don’t miss anything.
The festival starts weeks before the event with the preparations for the tableaux and the sports events which lead up to the day. This year we will have the netball event at Garstang Community Primary School and the football knockout rounds will take place at St Thomas’s C.of E. School. The semi – finals and the final of the football will take place on the festival day itself and these matches always provide plenty of drama for sports fans. If you are keen on sports then make sure you are on the playing field after the parade finishes in the morning and enjoy the different traditional races on offer.
The committee work incredibly hard in the months leading up to the festival to ensure we all have a fantastic day and, on your behalf, I would like to thank them for the work they do and are about to do this year. We do have lots of fun preparing for the event and on the day itself and we hope you all enjoy it as much as we do.
